About Me
My name is Nick Batchelder and I am a working Photographer and Filmmaker in Upstate New York. I am constantly looking for new and intriguing ways to create, and I tend to utilize a variety of mediums to create a visually distinct piece. What I enjoy most of all is working on a creative team and gaining new perspectives on an idea. Let’s get to work!
As an artist, my primary focus is building a foundation of knowledge and experience in my photography and videography. I enjoy experimenting with my technique to produce a different visual style, and every time I put down my camera after a day of shooting I have learned something valuable for the next shoot. I am working towards creating images and videos that showcase my compositional skills behind the camera, and how a narrative can be reinforced by thoughtful camera work and cinematography. Additionally, another focus of mine as an artist is combining a variety of artistic mediums to create and strengthen a narrative. I aim to perfect my craft and improve my skills across an artistic spectrum.
